ShowUpTop is a new company based in the Austin, Texas area. We help HVAC, plumbing, and water heater companies get recommended when homeowners ask AI for help.
Who we are
ShowUpTop was founded by Akhil. Akhil has a master's degree in information assurance and years of experience in enterprise marketing technology.
He started ShowUpTop to bring that experience to local businesses that do real work in real homes.
Why we started it
The way homeowners find help is changing. More people now ask an AI assistant, "Who's the best AC repair near me?" and call whoever it names. Google's AI has started calling businesses itself to ask about price and availability (its "Ask for Me" feature, which expanded to home services nationwide in summer 2026, according to the JobNimbus blog).
A lot of good local companies, with strong reviews and years of happy customers, don't show up in those answers. That's not fair to them, and it's fixable.
Many owners have also been burned by marketing companies that charged a lot, promised a lot, and showed little. We wanted to build something different.
How we work
- Plain talk. No jargon. We explain what we did and why.
